SUN InBev thanks CDC Group for the implementation of a successful project and high professionalism of its employees

As a result of the project implementation, the route formation time was reduced almost 5 times, the number of vehicles tracked by GPS reached 98%. The implementation of the OPTIMUM GIS system allowed AB InBev to reduce costs at the stage of constructing routes and preparing for a flight, to strengthen discipline among drivers, to reduce the risk of accidents, to increase efficiency at the stage of monitoring route execution, as well as to minimize reputational risks associated with loss, damage to cargo. and delivery delays.

SUN InBev (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) is the Russian division of the international company AB InBev, representing on the Russian market the world's largest brewing concern Anheuser-Busch InBev, headquartered in Belgium, one of the world's leading manufacturers of consumer goods.

The Company's portfolio on the Russian market includes international and local beer brands - Spaten, Corona Extra, BUD, Hoegaarden, Klinskoe and many others.

The Company's cooperation with the CDC Group in the direction of transport logistics automation began in 2015. In connection with incidents related to violation of traffic rules by drivers and leading to significant financial and reputational costs, the company has a need for an effective system for monitoring driving safety. The solution, which had been in use for several years at the time, did not meet current needs.

Based on the results of a competition held among Russian and foreign suppliers of TMS (Transportation Management System) class transportation management systems, it was decided to implement the Optimum GIS system (Delivery, Monitoring and Forwarder modules). The presented software and hardware complex of CDC Group not only solves all the assigned tasks, but also includes innovative methods that can significantly enhance the safety control of road cargo transportation. At the same time, some functions implemented in the Optimum GIS line are unique and are not represented in similar foreign or Russian systems. The implementation and scaling of the system took no more than a month.

After the decision was made to implement Optimum GIS, the key tasks of the project were to reduce transportation costs through effective safety control during the voyage, as well as to automate the processes of planning delivery routes and satellite monitoring of vehicles.

At the time of the beginning of cooperation, the logistics structure of the Company included nine territorial distribution centers located in several regions of the country. Each site worked autonomously and used a separate base. During the implementation of the project, CDC Group specialists combined all sites into one and created a single interaction environment.

In terms of improving driving safety, the implementation of Optimum GIS provided:

  • global control over the location of cars, control over the accuracy of driving employees;
  • control of the permitted speed limit on a specific section of the road with a warning to the driver;
  • notification of approaching areas requiring increased attention (sharp turns, crossings, etc.);
  • control of what is happening in the cockpit;
  • control of the timing of the passage of technological chains for pre-trip preparation;
  • control over the statuses of documents on the route.

SUN InBev thanks CDC Group for the implementation of a successful project and high professionalism of its employees. Optimum GIS has not only established itself as the best-in-class solution, but also proved its effectiveness in practice!
